Tirupur : With the dates for the Lok Sabha elections having been announced for TN and rest of India, parties have been announcing their plans and candidates slowly but surely for the various constituencies. One of the constituencies where DMK alliance has announced the candidature is Tiruppur. Subbarayan is contesting on the CPI ticket which is part of the DMK led Secular Progressive Alliance.

One of the constituencies where DMK alliance has announced the candidature is Tiruppur. Subbarayan is contesting on the CPI ticket which is part of the DMK led Secular Progressive Alliance.
During his introductory meeting held here in Tiruppur at the DMK office. After the introductory function he met the press and had this to say about the elections:
“This elections is about saving India by eliminating the BJP from the Central Government and saving Tamilnadu by eliminating the AIADMK from the state government. The small and medium scale industries in Tirupur have undergone severe troubles and are slowly dying. Small scale industries have a decline of nearly 30% and agriculture has seen a decline of 2/3rd.
When Modi was here they campaigned saying that Tirupur will become a paradise but since they have already made it a graveyard through their policies, we have the job of reviving the city from that grievous position. So our focus is going to be based on reviving the small scale industries and agriculture in the area.”
Many DMK functionaries were present during the function making it feel like a true alliance meet.
